Music festivals that set the rhythm in Lyon

Nuits Sonores: The French festival that is entirely devoted to electronic and indie music, as well as innovative, visual and digital culture, did not take place in 2020. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that it will be possible this year. The provisional dates are from 17 to 21 May 2023.

Nuits de Fourvière: Held in the Roman theatres of Fourvière Hill, this festival brings a touch of magic to Lyon’s summer evenings each year. The dates for 2022 have just been announced. We look forward to seeing the artists on stage, in a programme combining drama, dance, circus arts and music, in  June and July 2023. The organisers are doing their utmost to welcome the general public in the best possible health conditions. The programme will be revealed soon.

Woodstower Festival: This “eco-festival” is held at the end of summer on the edge of the lake at Grand Parc de Miribel-Jonage: 23 to 27 August 2023. We look forward to four days of partying to a superb selection of rap and electronic music.

Jazz à Vienne: While this event is not held in Lyon, it is a major event on the local music scene. The 2020 edition was cancelled, so we are all the more excited at the prospect of heading to the Ancient Theatre of Vienne, from 28 June to 13 July 2023, to enjoy some special summer evening concerts once again. The Jazz à Vienne team is currently looking at ways to welcome audiences safely.
