Five destinations in the spotlight

On the programme: a celebration of the French art of living bringing together Michelin-starred chefs; the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region with its authenticity, diversity and environmental awareness; the boldness and inventiveness of Korean food, adding an exotic touch; the generous land of Spain; and the spicy notes and artisan food of Mexico.
To whet your appetite, the festival will open with a concert by the pianist Mezerg from Bordeaux. This will be followed by four days of food, music and culture, interspersed with more than 60 shows.

2024 edition sharing knowledge

In 2024, Lyon Street Food Festival is placing the sharing of knowledge at the heart of its programme. Through the meetings and workshops organised for visitors, the festival is looking to inspire vocations, raise awareness among the young generation, and offer opportunities to learn from passionate professionals. This 8th edition is highlighting chefs who were born into their profession, nurtured by an intergenerational legacy, and driven by a desire to train tomorrow’s stars and keep traditional establishments alive.

France’s biggest food festival

Held in June, Lyon Street Food Festival is Lyon’s leading event for food, music, culture and fun. Last year, it drew more than 38,000 festivalgoers to the former Fagor-Brandt factory, while the first edition was held at Les Subsistances in 2016.
In 2024, the sharing of knowledge will take place in a history-filled setting. The former SNCF technical centre of La Mulatière – Les Grandes Locos - has already established itself as a landmark on the cultural scene. Formed of giant halls, it is the perfect venue to celebrate living together and embark on a fantastic culinary journey.

A one of a kind, this event highlights culinary influences from all over the world in France’s leading city for gastronomy. Over the course of four days, hundreds of chefs, including Michelin star-holders, emerging talents and street-food artisans, get together for a unique experience that is a delight for all the senses. 120 chefs came to last year’s festival!

Each year, the festival attracts both big-name chefs, like Anne-Sophie Pic and Thierry Marx, and rising stars on Lyon’s food scene, offering opportunities for all to discover fine cuisine in an accessible way.
