Metamorphosis

Better still, transcribing, adapting, or orchestrating the works of others was considered a musical tribute. This process of metamorphosis is dizzying, for not only does it give new life to the original work, but it also places it in an unlimited temporal perspective: the re-appropriations are infinite and adapt to the mood of the time.
When Rasmussen transposes Vivaldi's Four Seasons into a contemporary aesthetic universe, a whole new aesthetic space and time is opened up to us.
