Two great musicians offer their take on three pieces by Chopin and Grieg. Their bond takes over the whole stage, with the Grand Duo Concertant’s virtuoso dialogues and the grandeur of the two sonatas. This pleasant collection is a perfect field to feature the long-established musical bond between cellist Anne Gastinel and pianist Claire Désert. While Chopin allows for concertante, virtuoso dialogues, Grieg echoes the sound of the North. These pieces, selected by two close composers and pianists and their cellist friends, are unquestionably matching.
