Spend a day in the heart of green spaces with facilities for families

A natural area, Val d’Yzeron is an ideal place to spend Sunday as a family. At the large Domaine de Lacroix-Laval in Marcy-L’Etoile, there are pony rides, a miniature train and play areas for children, while adults can make the most of the fitness trails and pleasant walking paths. In Francheville, Aquavert has a mini-golf course, tennis courts, orienteering trails and a beautiful aquatic area. Also, in Francheville, Parc du Bruissin has a football pitch and petanque pitch. Lastly, for a day in the countryside as a family, the Yzeron nature trail runs through a beautiful valley and past the Grand Moulin, which has been converted into an environmental education centre.

Enjoy cultural events in a unique setting

Several cultural events offer a little taste of the holidays. In summer, Domaine de Lacroix-Laval gets in step with the Nuits de Fourvière music festival, with shows and dances beneath a marquee. The park also hosts cinema events and outdoor concerts. In Francheville, the amazing Fort du Bruissin organises showcases for new artists (Scènes Découvertes) and film screenings. Lastly, one Sunday every month, the Promenade des Tuileries in Tassin-la-Demi-Lune organises an art market that attracts painters, sculptors and photographers.
