Stroll through the narrow streets and stairways to discover the history of the "canuts", the silk workers of Lyon in the 19th century.

Beginning in Boulevard de la Croix-Rousse, walk down the hill slopes through the buildings: these secret passages and staircases are full of history, which will blow your mind.

Discover the silk-workers’ daily life by visiting a real weavers’ workshop kept going by the Living Silk-work Association with its kitchen, its attic
and its mechanical looms. The walk continues through the alleyways to the Place des Terreaux.

This visit is a must for anyone wanting information on Lyonnais tradition and history.

Duration of the visit: 2h. Please ensure you arrive 10 minutes before the tour commences.
