A unique opportunity to discover the secrets of the city and have fun at the same time!
During the school holidays, ONLYLYON Tourism and Conventions will be giving you the opportunity to (re)discover the different districts of Lyon with your family, thanks to guided tours suited to younger members of the public. Although most of these tours are currently available in French, a few are in English, and include guided, coordinated, and even independent tours with an audioguide in the language of your choice.
Audioguides: Discover the Vieux-Lyon and the Croix Rousse district as you please!
From the place Bellecour, join the old-town, listening to comments in the language of your choice (French, English, German, Italian and Spanish).
After a brief historic presentation of the city, discover the history of December 8th, a tradition of Lyon at the origin of the Festival of Lights. Then visit the cathedral St-Jean and the archaeological garden and go to the Law court.
Traboulez by the street of "Trois Marie" up to the place of the Government. Push the door of a new traboule on Juiverie street and discover the Philibert Delorme’s Renaissance Gallery. Finally, cross the Saône river direction Place des Terreaux, the St-Pierre palace, the City hall and the National Opera of Lyon.
Join the "plateau"of Croix-Rousse district, the place and the boulevard and offer yourselves one most beautiful views on the modern districts of the city. Traboulez by the courtyard « La Cour des Voraces » and the passage Thiaffait.
Discover the history of the Amphitheater of the Three Gauls and the Jardin des plantes. This visit takes you up to the painting wall of illustrious citizens of Lyon.

Storytelling tour of the Vieux-Lyon (English and French)
Follow the storyteller-guide through the traboules (hidden passageways) of the Vieux-Lyon district as he tells of the incredible adventure of young Anne and her passion for printing and art. This adventure offers an opportunity to discover Renaissance-era Lyon, major local figures of the sixteenth century and the magic of Old Lyon. Emotions and suspense are guaranteed!
While the story is fictional, it is based on historical facts and includes historical figures. This tour is recommended for children aged ten years and above, and is ideal for teenagers and all those who remain children at heart!

Storytelling tour on the slopes of Croix-Rousse: Jirôme or one silk worker's revolt (English)
Follow the storyteller-guide down the slopes of Croix-Rousse as they recount the adventures of Jirôme Roquet and his apprentice, Tony “the Simpleton”. The story portrays the daily life of the silk workers, and their revolts, at the same time providing an opportunity to explore the district’s architecture, and hear some of the fascinating tales that make Croix-Rousse such an unusual place.
