The Planetarium Place de la Nation (face à l’Hôtel de Ville, près du Centre Culturel Charlie Chaplin) - 69120 Vaulx-en-Velin

Produced by: European Space Agency (ESA) in partnership with the Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales (CNES), Métropole de Lyon and Ville de Vaulx-en-Velin.
From space, observation satellites record the changes related to human activity occurring on our planet and play an important role in protecting natural resources, such as water, ice fields and forests.
Used for scientific purposes, the images they gather are also spectacularly beautiful. The cubist patchwork of agricultural fields, the expressionist ripples of the Sahara desert, the water colour swirls of phytoplankton are just some examples of our planet’s majestic landscapes.
