Val de Saône
Located 20 km north of Lyon, 50 km southwest of Bourg-en-Bresse and 2.5 km east of Neuville-sur-Saone, between the plateau des Echets (southern limit of the Dombes) and the Saone. The proximity of the great metropolis that is Lyon does not remove Montanay its character of rural town since nearly 2/3 of its surface are occupied by agriculture mainly cereal.
