Les Aillons - Margeriaz

Skiing in a peaceful environment
Located in the Bauges Mountains, both of these resorts are peaceful village resorts with slopes that are ideal for beginners and intermediate levels. 40 km of mainly green and blue pistes for some great skiing in a preserved landscape. As for entertainment, you and your family can embark on a sleigh ride with pack dogs, or learn skijoring, and be pulled along by a horse!

Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse

Station Saint Pierre de Chartreuse

The authentic Chartreuse Mountains
This charming village, nestling in a small valley to the north of Grenoble, offers skiers the loveliest scenery across the Chartreuse Mountains. After going up in the ski lifts, you'll get to whizz down the blue and red slopes all day prior to returning to the village, exhausted but oh so happy, to enjoy a drink. As a bonus, there are also two secure toboggan runs for young children, and introductory lessons in new snow sports (hoverboards or snow scooters…) for teenagers!

Lans-en-Vercors

Get away from it all in the Vercors Massif
Oh, to be in the Vercors Massif, with its wide-open spaces, its landscapes and gastronomy! In winter, the area becomes a magnificent human-scale playground for mountain enthusiasts. The skiing area in Lans-en-Vercors offers excellent value for money and mostly green and blue ski pistes. As for Nordic walking, the Allières and Val-de-Lans resorts will delight any and all amateurs of snowshoe-hiking and nature. Unless you'd prefer to spend a night in an igloo, or climb a frozen cascade…

Entremont-le-Vieux

Ideal for families
In the Chartreuse Mountains, halfway between Chambéry and Grenoble, Entremont-le-Vieux is very much the ideal place to discover skiing, and all the other fun snow activities kids can do. At an altitude of 850 metres, the two Désert-d'Entremont and Le Granier resorts and the snowshoe-hiking trail (Boucle du Mollard) are very affordable. At the bottom of the pistes, there is a friendly organic campsite, a fun Cave Bear Museum, and an agricultural co-op shop where you'll want to buy everything in sight.
