Les Halles de la Martinière
23 rue de la Martinière - 69001 Lyon 1er
Residents at the bottom of the slopes of the Croix-Rousse have had their collective eye on these works for a long time, and finally Les Halles de la Martinière is back!
This former covered market, built in 1838, has at last reopened its doors. In a modern, well-lit space, you will now find a large organic and bulk food grocery store, a fishmonger’s, organic fruit juices, a French crêperie and ‘El bar des Halles’, which serves local, seasonal cuisine made by the team from Cuisine Itinérante. It is often packed at weekends and night owls snack here before heading to the nearby Maison Mère or Soda Bar.
Collector's original visuals and voice have made it a big hit in Lyon. It offers locals a different view of their city: more modern, more urban, and even a little offbeat. In just a few years, this guide has become the repertoire of “places to be”. It opens doors to somewhat secret worlds – just the way we like them in Lyon.
list Know more about CollectorRising with a smile on her face in the morning, always curious and enthusiastic to discover new places (and new dishes) in Lyon, Camille is what the specialists refer to as a « compulsive tester ». More partial to savoury than sweet (even though offering her a praluline – a delicious brioche filled with pralines – is a sure-fire way to get in her good books), Camille devotes herself body and soul to testing new food establishments in Lyon. Her radar for new addresses is legendary.
