A new look for the Tour Rose

It's official. Food courts are all the rage in Lyon! But, if there's one which is particularly eagerly awaited, it has to be the Food Traboule. This new food outlet is breathing new life into one of the most beautiful hotel-restaurants in Old Lyon, the Tour Rose, which has been closed for a number of years.

The premises have been totally redesigned by Tabata and Ludovic Mey (Les Apothicaires) and Stéphanie Marquez and Nathalie Grynbaum (MiHotel), who were commissioned to create a friendly environment in which to sample Lyon's latest gastronomic offerings.

Obviously, the golden rule at Food Traboule is to offer dishes cooked with fresh, local and seasonal products - at affordable prices! Your food is cooked before your eyes. 

The hard part? It has to be choosing from all this mouth-wateringly tempting fare which is spread over 3 floors of one of the most beautiful Renaissance buildings in the area.

With seven distinctive spaces, diners can choose an atmosphere to suit their mood.

As for hotel accommodation, MiHôtel offers 12 stylish, connected and individually designed suites, along with luxurious surroundings, designer touches and customised services. A new-generation hotel!

Isabelle, our editor born and bred in Lyon! She was born in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon in fact, studied in Lyon and now lives here. Territorial? Absolutely not! She loves travelling, widening her horizons, meeting new people and enjoys a change of scenery (without snow, if possible).
