What could be more pleasant than enjoying a cocktail with friends on a rooftop?

Whether it's with friends, en famille or as a couple, a rooftop can make you feel like you're on top of the world! Here’s our pick of Lyon's five best rooftops.

Last updated date : 30/07/2019

Les Muses de l’Opéra :
How would you like to ascend to the roof of one of Lyon’s most well-known buildings? Now you can, with this superb rooftop on the 7th floor of the Lyon Opera House. This magnificent panoramic bar offers a unique view over Lyon, Fourvière Hill and the Hôtel de Ville (City Hall). Perfect for afterwork drinks, Les Muses de l'Opéra is open from 6:30 to 11:30 pm every day (except Monday).

Le Mob Hôtel :
On the banks of the Saône, the Mob Hôtel has a very pleasant rooftop that opens every day at 4 pm. The idea is simple: order your drink at the hotel bar and head up to the rooftop to enjoy the quiet, laid-back vibe. The atmosphere gets lively from time to time with the many rooftop parties held here. On the programme: pop-up bar, DJ and various entertainment.

Le Sucre :
Indisputably one of Lyon’s most sought-after addresses, the rooftop of Le Sucre offers an almost 360° panoramic view. The highest point of the Confluence district, Le Sucre is a venue for various club events and its mojitos are among the finest to be found in Lyon!

Le N’Café Confluence :
Open the doors of this hotel and treat yourself to a moment of relaxation, cocktail in hand, as you admire the view of the river Saône. The Novotel Confluence is open throughout the day, offering a modern lounge ambiance.

La Maison Nô :
In the heart of the Presqu’île district, the rooftop of La Maison Nô boasts a stunning panoramic view over the city of Lyon. From Fourvière Basilica to the high-rises of the Part-Dieu district, the Opera House’s red-lit dome and the bell towers of the Hôtel de Ville (City Hall), you will find no other view quite like this in Lyon. On the menu are numerous cocktails, as well as straightforward and generous contemporary food.

Antoine

Look! A man!The editorial team is welcoming in some new blood with the arrival of Antoine, or Maxime as we like to call him (there was already an Antoine on the team, so we had to find him another name!). He’s our very own James Bond: he’s well dressed, has a codename, and a winning smile (however, he’s more partial to a mug of green tea than a Vodka Martini).
