If the words ‘Toruk’ and ‘Pandora’ mean nothing to you, then you are probably not among the 97 million people who saw one of the greatest successes in cinema history: Avatar!
James Cameron is creating a sequel, set to be released in December 2020. In the meantime, the Cirque du Soleil is offering a chance to revisit the world of Avatar in 2019.
On an international tour, the company is putting on a show inspired by the film.
Toruk is a mythical tale that takes place thousands of years before the events of the film Avatar, before humans set foot on Pandora for the first time.
This amazing show brilliantly combines multimedia visuals, dance and acrobatics. It is an immersive experience, in which spectators are guided by the voice of a storyteller-narrator, as they follow the quest of three young Na’vi (inhabitants of Pandora, for those who haven’t seen the film) to find the Toruk, a formidable bird that can help them save the Tree of Souls.
